Along the Mt. Rose Highway above South Reno, the Galena area trades city blocks for Jeffrey pines, granite and larger lots. Homes here feel like a mountain retreat, with winter snow and quick access to Galena Creek Park and Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe.
Despite the setting, the commute to South Reno shopping and schools is short, and the north shore of Lake Tahoe is roughly half an hour over the summit.
